It is not the obvious choice for a small hobby site. The entry Spark Launch campaign lists one site, 15 GB storage, 2 TB bandwidth, unlimited visits and 10 PHP workers per site at a $5 monthly equivalent when billed annually. Liquid Web’s general pricing page advertises WordPress from $9 per month; campaign and configurator totals can differ.
Essentials includes daily backups with seven-day retention, self-service migration, automatic WordPress updates, staging and visual comparison. All current plan families advertise DDoS protection, WAF, Performance Shield, Object Cache Pro and Kadence Security Pro. Pro adds human migration, stencils and virtual patching with 14-day backup retention; Elite extends daily-backup retention to 30 days.

Liquid Web’s policy guarantees 100% network uptime, defined as major routing devices within its network being reachable from the global internet. It excludes scheduled maintenance, hardware/software maintenance, malicious attacks, legal actions and certain control-panel issues. This is not a promise that an application, database, DNS provider or third-party integration can never fail.
The published remedy says eligible dedicated-hosting customers can request a credit equal to ten times the recorded downtime, capped at the monthly recurring charge. Requests must arrive within five business days. Nexcess has separate terms: 100% internet transit and power, with eligible credits in 15-minute increments and a seven-day claim procedure.

Fully managed server support covers the operating system and supported control panel, monitoring, patches, supported key services, network troubleshooting, basic security consultation, backup/restore assistance for supported products and DDoS mitigation. Liquid Web offers cPanel, Plesk and InterWorx, with costs and compatibility varying by configuration.
It does not make Liquid Web your developer or webmaster. Custom code, page edits, plugin configuration, SEO, database optimization, extensive tuning and unsupported third-party software remain the customer’s responsibility. Self-managed hosting narrows assistance mainly to hardware, network, power and documentation; core managed sits between these levels.

HIPAA-ready packages are engineered configurations, not an automatic compliance certificate for the customer.
