Saily eSIM Review: Plans, Pricing, Security & Travel Tips

By JoshWP Team  |  Updated:  |  Pricing and feature research

Saily is a strong option for travelers who want to buy mobile data before departure, keep their everyday SIM in their phone, and manage the trip from one app. Its appeal is the combination of prepaid country, regional, and global plans with built-in browsing tools. The important buying decisions are less glamorous: whether your exact phone supports eSIM, which countries your chosen package includes, how long the package lasts, and what happens when you use up its fast data.

This Saily eSIM review explains those decisions in practical terms. You will find current plan examples, cost-per-GB calculations, a data-budget calculator, setup guidance, and the limits that matter for work calls, family travel, and long stays. The verdict is based on published product information and editorial analysis; we have not conducted a new destination-by-destination speed test for this update.

Quick answer

Is Saily worth buying?

Yes, for travelers who value an easy setup and predictable data spending. Choose a fixed-data plan for maps, messages, bookings, and occasional browsing. Consider unlimited when daily usage is heavier, but read the high-speed allowance first. Saily is less compelling if your home plan already includes your destination, you need a local number outside the US, or your trip depends on uninterrupted high-bandwidth tethering.

Our starting recommendation: match the country list and validity to your itinerary, estimate your total usage, and buy the smallest package with a sensible buffer. A cheaper headline price is no bargain if the plan expires halfway through your trip.

What is Saily eSIM, and how does it work?

Saily is a travel eSIM service from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. An eSIM is a digital SIM profile installed on a compatible device. It gives the phone the credentials needed to connect to a mobile network, without requiring you to swap a plastic SIM card. Saily sells the travel data package, while connectivity depends on partner networks in the destination.

Think of the installed eSIM and the purchased data plan as two separate things. The profile is the connection identity on your phone; the package determines the countries, data allowance, and usage period. Saily lets you add subsequent destination plans to the existing profile. That reduces repeated installation work, but it does not mean that one country package follows you everywhere.

A useful everyday setup is to keep your home SIM for your established number and select Saily for mobile data. Messages in internet-based apps can then use the travel connection. Ordinary carrier calls and SMS on your original line are still governed by your home carrier’s roaming terms. Buying an eSIM does not automatically stop those charges.

The most valuable feature depends on your trip. A reusable profile matters if you travel repeatedly. A regional package matters if you cross borders. A hotspot matters if you need to upload a file from a laptop. None of those features alone makes the service the best choice for every traveler: the package’s coverage, duration, and final price still determine its usefulness.

Saily pricing: current plan examples and cost per GB

The tables below are a price snapshot checked on October 7, 2026, not a universal rate card. Saily’s location and currency settings can change the displayed currency. US examples use US dollars; the Europe and Global pages we checked displayed euros. Ultra prices use the USD amounts published on its dedicated pricing page. These are the listed package prices before any coupon or credits adjustment. Check the final checkout amount and applicable taxes before paying.

We use the selectable package prices rather than generic “from” statements elsewhere on the same page. For example, the US page’s plan selector lists 1 GB at US$3.99 even though some promotional text quotes a lower starting figure. The selector is the more useful basis for comparing the specific bundles shown here.

United States: fixed-data plan prices (USD)

Price source: Saily’s United States plan selector, checked October 7, 2026. Cost per GB is the package price divided by the included allowance, rounded to two decimals. Unused data does not improve the value you actually receive.

US fixed plans: larger bundles cost less per GB

USD per included GB · lower is cheaper · scale starts at zero

1 GB$3.99/GB
3 GB$3.00/GB
5 GB$2.80/GB
10 GB$2.30/GB
20 GB$1.85/GB

Calculated from the US price table above. This measures purchased capacity, rather than speed or connection quality.

A lower unit price can still mean a higher trip cost

The 20 GB US package has the lowest cost per included GB in this fixed-plan sample. That does not make it the right purchase if you only need 2 GB. Paying US$36.99 for capacity you will not use costs more than buying the 3 GB package for US$8.99. Conversely, buying two 5 GB packages would cost US$27.98, compared with US$22.99 for one 10 GB package. Estimate your likely consumption before choosing the apparent bargain.

Validity matters just as much. A 1 GB package that lasts seven days will not cover a ten-day stay even if you use very little data. A larger package can solve the duration problem, but check whether a different duration is available in the app. Do not assume every country uses the same sizes or expiry periods as the US sample.

Country, regional, or global: which is better value?

For a single destination, compare that country’s package first. For a border-crossing trip, compare the total cost of separate country packages with one regional package that includes every stop. A regional plan can be worth a premium if it reduces activation decisions and leaves one shared pool of data across your itinerary. It can also waste money when most of your trip is spent in one inexpensive destination.

Global packages are most interesting when you cross regions or want a longer-lived reserve for intermittent travel. For example, a fixed package with 365-day validity offers time flexibility, but its allowance is still one total pool. If you use all of it on the first trip, the long expiry date will not restore it. Compare the cost against the trips you realistically expect to take, rather than imagined future travel.

Check the exact country, duration, and currency before buying. A price comparison only helps when the plans cover the same itinerary.

Saily unlimited plans and Ultra: read the fast-data limits

“Unlimited” describes continued access to data, not an unlimited amount of data at the fastest available network speed. The checked US and Europe unlimited selectors show 5 GB per day without a plan-imposed speed limit, followed by data at up to 1 Mbps. Actual speed can still be lower because of coverage or congestion. Other destinations or packages can have different terms, so read your own plan details.

What does a 1 Mbps cap mean in practice?

At 1 Mbps, the theoretical transfer rate is 0.125 megabytes per second before overhead. A 100 MB file therefore takes roughly 13 minutes and 20 seconds at that rate, and longer if the connection fluctuates. Text messaging and lightweight web tasks are more forgiving than HD video, cloud backups, and large uploads. A video call can adapt to lower quality, but that does not guarantee a stable meeting on a busy mobile network.

Daily limits also change how you should think about usage. A traveler who uses little data most days but uploads a large folder one afternoon may hit the cap on that afternoon. A headline trip total does not show that peak. If reliable uploads are part of your work, ask whether a sufficiently large fixed package or another connection suits your workload better.

Source: Saily’s dedicated Ultra pricing page, USD listing checked October 7, 2026. Annual equivalents are the page’s displayed rounded amounts, not monthly-billing prices. Currency, tax, renewal, and tier benefits should be confirmed at checkout.

Premium’s monthly listing also specifies a phone number with 50 minutes and 50 SMS; identity verification applies. Its quarterly and annual listings show larger communication bundles. Compare the chosen billing period’s included benefits rather than assuming every tier provides the same extras.

Who should consider Ultra?

Ultra is aimed at frequent travelers who can use both its data and its extras. Published benefits include selected-airport lounge and fast-track access, priority support, 8% cashback in Saily credits, and NordVPN, NordPass, NordLocker, and Incogni. The Help Center describes one lounge pass and one fast-track pass per month, with unused passes accumulating for up to three months. Airport availability and booking conditions apply; these are not unlimited visits at any airport.

Evaluate the subscription as an ongoing expense. Annual billing reduces the displayed monthly equivalent but commits you to the annual charge. Ultra’s pricing page says the subscription starts at purchase, so buying months before a trip can waste paid time. Add up the benefits you would otherwise pay for, check your actual airport routes, and compare that value with the selected tier’s checkout and renewal quote. The pricing page says to cancel at least two days before the next payment to prevent renewal. If you already pay for the included security tools or rarely use lounges, their advertised retail value may add little for you. A short holiday rarely needs a recurring premium bundle simply to get directions and messages.

How much Saily data do you need?

Start with your phone’s recent mobile-data history rather than a generic travel estimate. Check which apps consume the most data and whether your travel habits will differ from home. Maps and bookings may be essential, but video feeds, photo backups, and tethered laptop updates often determine how quickly the allowance disappears. Download maps, tickets, music, and entertainment before departure where possible.

Planning scenarios: assumptions, not measured app consumption

Moderate: browsing and occasional media0.50 GB/day7 GB8.75 GB
Heavy: frequent media or hotspot work1.50 GB/day21 GB26.25 GB

These scenarios are deliberately simple planning inputs. They are not promises about what a specific app will use. A few long video sessions can move a “light” traveler into the heavy category. For the US sample, the moderate 14-day estimate with reserve fits the 10 GB fixed package; the heavy estimate exceeds the largest fixed package in the displayed table and needs a different plan strategy.

Protect your allowance from background use

Set photo and device backups to Wi-Fi only, disable autoplay where available, and download media in advance. A laptop connected to your hotspot may treat that network as an ordinary internet connection and download operating-system updates. Mark it as metered if the device supports that setting. Check usage after the first full travel day: it gives you a better forecast than your pre-trip estimate.

Keep a buffer for unexpected travel changes. A missed connection may require extra map searches, rebooking, and longer waits. Using every last megabyte before the final transfer leaves you dependent on finding Wi-Fi when your plans are already disrupted. If the package no longer matches your usage, change your habits or arrange additional data before the remaining balance reaches zero.

Saily coverage: broad availability is not universal coverage

200+Destinations across Saily’s country-plan catalog
35Countries in the checked Europe regional package
121Destinations in the checked Global package

These figures describe different products and should not be used interchangeably. The fact that Saily sells a country package somewhere does not prove that a Global package includes that destination. Likewise, “Europe” is a commercial package name rather than a promise to cover every country or territory on the continent. Read the selected package’s country list before purchase.

Treat airport transit as part of the itinerary. If you need data during a layover outside your package’s coverage, plan a separate connection or accept that you will use airport Wi-Fi there. For border regions, islands, national parks, and rural stays, check network coverage as well as the destination name. A country listed in a catalog can still have areas with weak reception.

Match the package to the route

For a London–Paris–Rome trip, first confirm each stop in the regional list and compare the package with three country purchases. For a route across continents, check the Global list stop by stop. For a long stay in one city, compare a country package with a local carrier option that better matches your ongoing data and calling needs. The right package follows the itinerary rather than the other way around.

Install before traveling, especially when local access to travel-eSIM apps may be restricted. Saily’s Europe page specifically advises advance setup for Turkey because app access may be limited there. Do not wait until arrival to discover that you cannot reach the store, complete installation, or purchase the next package. Keep your order details and essential travel information available offline.

Saily security: useful tools, with important boundaries

Saily combines connection management with three browsing features: a virtual location selector, an ad blocker, and web protection. They are useful additions for travelers, but each has a defined purpose. A feature that reduces tracking or blocks a known harmful domain does not make every site trustworthy or replace account security.

Virtual location: change the apparent network location

Saily advertises 115+ virtual locations. The feature routes traffic through a remote server so websites can see a different apparent location. That may help with privacy and some location-sensitive browsing, but a service can still use your signed-in account, device permissions, payment details, or other signals to determine where you are. Access to any particular streaming catalog is not guaranteed.

Choosing a virtual location does not change where your eSIM has mobile coverage. A US data package will not become a Japan data package because you select a Japanese virtual location. Keep the two country choices separate: the data package determines where you can connect; the routing option affects how your traffic appears to online services.

Ad blocker: reduce unwanted requests, with exceptions

Saily’s ad blocker is DNS based. It can prevent requests to blocked advertising domains, but ads hosted on the same domain as the content may still appear. It should not be sold as a guarantee to remove every ad in every app, or as a fixed percentage reduction in your total trip data. The effect depends on the sites and services you use.

Turn it on if it suits your browsing, then watch whether a necessary page breaks. If a booking or login flow fails, a brief diagnostic check with filtering disabled can help establish the cause. Re-enable the protection afterward if you want it. Keep the actual savings out of your data budget until you have observed your own usage.

Web protection: a filter rather than a safety guarantee

Web protection is intended to block known malicious domains associated with threats such as phishing and malware. A newly created scam or a deceptive message can still reach you. It cannot verify a person asking you to make a payment, decide whether a booking offer is legitimate, or undo information you voluntarily submit to a fraudster.

The FTC’s guidance on public Wi-Fi safety explains that HTTPS encryption usually protects data in transit, while encrypted scam sites can still deceive visitors. Use strong passwords, multi-factor authentication, and software updates alongside any connection-level tools. Mobile data is convenient, but convenience is not a guarantee against phishing.

Does Saily replace a VPN?

Do not assume that Saily’s eSIM browsing features provide the same protection as a separate VPN app on hotel or airport Wi-Fi. If you need protection on that separate connection, use the appropriate app and verify it is active. Ultra includes separate security products; an ordinary travel-data purchase should not be described as automatically including their subscriptions.

For a closer look at the separate VPN product, read our NordVPN review. Saily’s virtual location feature and a full VPN app serve related privacy needs, but they are distinct products with different controls and connection contexts.

Privacy: avoid blanket “no logs” claims

Saily’s privacy policy, updated August 10, 2026, describes processing account and payment information, app events, device information, and certain traffic data, including destinations and estimated application categories. The phone-number service also involves identity verification and communication metadata. It would therefore be misleading to describe the whole service as collecting no data.

If minimizing provider-held information is your priority, read the applicable privacy policy before purchase and decide whether you need the phone-number add-on. That add-on’s identity requirements are different from the usual data-only purchase. Account deletion, marketing opt-outs, and retention obligations are also separate questions from whether a browsing feature masks your apparent location.

Speed and reliability: what matters beyond a 5G label

There is no single meaningful “Saily speed” for all travelers. A result from one phone in a city center cannot predict performance inside a rural lodge, on a train, or in a crowded airport terminal. Signal strength, partner network, device compatibility, congestion, routing, and any plan cap all affect the experience. This update does not assign an unsupported average speed or uptime percentage.

Performance factors and sensible checks
FactorWhy it mattersWhat to do
Local signalWeak indoor or rural reception can limit any mobile plan.Check reception in the places you will actually use the connection.
Network congestionA strong signal does not guarantee spare network capacity.Try another time or location before judging the whole service.
Routing and latencyRemote traffic routing can affect interactive applications.Test your actual work call or app; a download test is only one measurement.
Daily / monthly fast-data capUnlimited packages can continue at a lower maximum rate.Check your remaining fast allowance before a major upload.
Hotspot loadSeveral devices share one connection and data budget.Pause background transfers and test with one device first.

For video meetings and remote work

Test the connection where you will work, not only where you arrive. Check upload as well as download, and make a short call with the same meeting app you will use professionally. High latency, jitter, or an interrupted uplink can spoil a call even when a speed-test download result looks impressive. Use audio-only as a fallback and keep critical files available offline.

A travel eSIM is useful as a backup connection for work, but a single mobile line is a weak foundation for a business-critical deadline. If your trip depends on connectivity, arrange a second route such as reliable accommodation internet or another suitable local service. Make the decision around your actual location and workload rather than a generalized coverage score.

For streaming and everyday navigation

Maps, ride bookings, tickets, and messaging are the core travel use case. Streaming increases both data consumption and sensitivity to the connection’s available speed. Download entertainment ahead of time, reduce video quality on mobile data, and avoid repeated speed tests when your allowance is small: those tests themselves transfer data.

Saily versus roaming, local SIMs, and other travel eSIMs

The useful comparison is the whole cost and inconvenience of staying connected. There is little value in comparing one provider’s cheapest tiny package with another’s large unlimited bundle. Match the destination, dates, usable data, calling requirements, and any restrictions. For broader budget-focused options, see our best eSIMs for budget travelers guide.

Saily is especially attractive when the alternative is troubleshooting unfamiliar roaming charges or searching for a SIM shop after landing. Its convenience is worth something. But if your existing plan already includes the full itinerary at no additional cost, start there. For a month-long stay requiring local calls and very large data usage, a local carrier may be the more practical benchmark.

Device compatibility and setup: get it ready before departure

Check the exact device, regional model, and carrier lock

An “Add eSIM” setting is a useful first sign, but verify the exact model and market variant before purchase. A model name alone is not enough because regional versions can differ. The device must also accept another carrier’s profile. On iPhone, check Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock; an unlocked device shows “No SIM Restrictions.” Android menu names vary, so confirm with the manufacturer or your carrier.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of setup, unlocked-device requirements, and using a travel line alongside your existing number, see Apple’s guide to using eSIM while traveling internationally. Check Saily’s supported-device information as well, especially for tablets, regional phone variants, and devices managed by an employer.

  1. Choose the package for the whole itineraryCheck every destination, the included data, expiry, currency, and the activation deadline. Save the order confirmation.
  2. Install on stable internet before leavingUse the app’s installation flow or the supplied installation instructions. Stay connected until the phone confirms the profile has been added.
  3. Label the lines clearlyName the travel profile “Saily travel data.” Identify the home line separately so you can change settings without guessing.
  4. Select Saily for mobile dataEnable the travel line and its data roaming as instructed. Turn off data roaming on the home line and disable automatic data switching if you want to prevent fallback data charges.
  5. Check the connection at the destinationAutomatic activation requires the enabled eSIM and appropriate roaming settings. Open a map or a lightweight page, then check the plan status and balance.
  6. Restore your usual settings after the tripSelect your home line for data again, review any active recurring subscriptions, and retain the Saily profile if you intend to use it on future trips.

Installation is not the same as activation

Installation adds the profile to your device. Activation starts the usable package according to its terms. Saily’s checked country and regional pages describe automatic activation when you reach an included destination with the eSIM enabled and roaming on. The regional plan can start in the first included country, so connecting during an early stop may start the validity period before your main holiday begins.

The checked pages also give an activation window of 180 days after purchase, followed by automatic activation if the plan remains unused. That purchase-to-activation window is different from the package’s seven-day, 30-day, or longer usage validity. Buying far ahead of a trip still requires checking both clocks. Keep the exact dates from your order rather than assuming an unused plan waits forever.

Home-line roaming still needs attention. Turning off data roaming does not necessarily prevent charges for carrier calls, voicemail, or texts. If you want to eliminate that line’s roaming exposure, consider disabling it while abroad after arranging another way to receive essential account codes. Check your carrier’s terms before relying on incoming SMS being free.

Calls, SMS, hotspot, and shared plans

Saily now offers an optional US phone number

The basic data package and the phone-number service are separate purchases. The published US number price is US$1.99 per month, with call and text bundles starting from US$0.99. The number subscription renews monthly and requires identity verification. This corrects an older description of Saily as offering no calling or SMS option at all.

The add-on provides a US (+1) number, rather than a local number in every destination. Check the supported calling countries and bundle details before using it to contact local businesses. Call minutes cover incoming as well as outgoing calls. If you only need internet-based conversations with friends, apps you already use may meet that need without an additional number subscription.

Do not depend on the add-on for every bank verification code. Saily’s Help Center explains that the underlying service uses VoIP technology, which some banks and other platforms do not accept for OTP or two-factor verification. Confirm compatibility before departure and keep an alternative such as an authenticator app, passkey, or your original number where appropriate.

Hotspot sharing versus a shared data plan

With a hotspot, one phone connects to the mobile network and nearby devices use its Wi-Fi connection. That is simple for a laptop or a companion sitting beside you, but it consumes the host phone’s battery and stops helping when the group separates. Every device’s traffic draws from the same package, including background downloads.

Saily’s shared-plan feature lets eligible fixed-data packages be used across separate members’ devices. The Help Center allows the owner to invite up to four additional people by email, for five users in total. Sharing is set up in the app before the package is activated; Ultra and unlimited plans are excluded. Each participant needs the app and a Saily account to claim access.

A shared allowance is still one pool. A group should agree who can stream or upload large files, then monitor the balance. It is a convenient way to stay connected separately, but it does not multiply the purchased GB by the number of people. Arrange invitations and installation at home so the first airport connection does not begin the plan before everyone is ready.

Troubleshooting, top-ups, support, and refunds

If the phone shows signal but mobile data does not work

First check that Saily is selected as the mobile-data line, the profile is enabled, and roaming is enabled for that profile. Then check that your destination is covered, the package is active, and the allowance has not expired or been exhausted. Disconnect from Wi-Fi briefly to confirm which connection you are testing. Reconnecting with airplane mode or restarting the phone can help it register again.

Follow the app’s destination-specific network and APN instructions where provided. Avoid deleting the installed profile as a first troubleshooting step: that can turn a settings problem into a reinstallation problem. If installation itself fails, verify stable internet and device compatibility, and use the supplied alternate installation method if available. Contact support before repeatedly trying the same profile.

If data works but feels slow

Check the fast-data allowance on unlimited or Ultra before changing anything else. Pause hotspot users and background transfers, then try a nearby location with better signal. If you use a virtual location, consider whether the chosen route suits your task. Test a lightweight page and your actual app rather than assuming a single large download tells the whole story.

Give support useful evidence: device model, destination, package name, whether the issue is installation or connectivity, and screenshots of relevant settings. Never include passwords or payment-card details in a troubleshooting screenshot. If the mobile connection is completely unavailable, use a fallback internet connection to reach in-app chat.

Top-ups and recurring charges

Check the app for another package or top-up before running out. Compare the next purchase with your remaining travel dates: buying a large allowance on the final day may not be sensible. If you enable any automatic top-up option, review its trigger and payment authorization. Optional number subscriptions and Ultra renewal deserve a separate check because they are recurring products rather than simply another prepaid data pack.

Refunds: not an unconditional free trial

Saily’s Help Center says a full refund can be requested within 30 days of purchase if the eSIM has not been installed or the data plan has not been activated. Once a plan is installed and activated, a full refund is not guaranteed. Partial or full refunds may be considered for Saily-related quality problems or an activated plan that remains more than 99% unused. Terms and eligibility apply.

If something fails, contact support promptly and preserve the order information and troubleshooting evidence. Do not treat the policy as permission to use the package for a trip and then claim the whole cost back. For Ultra or a phone-number subscription, check the product-specific cancellation and refund terms before buying; cancellation of a renewal and refund of an earlier payment are separate actions.

Saily pros and cons: the practical tradeoff

Reasons to choose Saily

  • Buy and prepare travel data before arrival.
  • Reuse the installed profile for subsequent supported trips.
  • Choose fixed, regional, global, or eligible unlimited packages.
  • Add useful browsing controls without managing separate filtering tools.
  • Use hotspot or eligible shared plans for different group needs.
  • Add a US phone number when that specific option suits you.

Reasons to look more closely

  • Locked or unsupported devices cannot use the service normally.
  • Unlimited packages impose fast-data limits.
  • Global and regional packages cover a subset of the full catalog.
  • A US add-on number does not solve every local calling or bank-code need.
  • Local network quality varies with place and time.
  • Premium subscriptions require attention to renewal and benefit eligibility.

The best fit is a traveler who wants an advance setup, understands their usage, and prefers to keep connectivity decisions in one place. The weaker fit is someone who expects unlimited fast tethering, a guaranteed local number anywhere, or a universal replacement for their carrier. The distinction is about the job you need the package to do, rather than a blanket rating.

Saily eSIM frequently asked questions

Is Saily legitimate?

Saily is a travel eSIM service from Nord Security. Legitimacy does not guarantee reception at every destination or make every package good value. Verify your device and itinerary, and judge the plan by its current terms rather than anonymous testimonials or an unsupported review score.

Will Saily work on a carrier-locked phone?

Your device needs to accept another provider’s eSIM. If it is locked, ask the original carrier about unlocking before purchase. Installing an app does not remove a carrier lock, and eSIM support alone does not prove the phone is unlocked.

Does Saily include calls and text messages?

A standard travel-data package does not automatically include a phone number or call/text bundle. Saily now offers a separate US phone-number subscription. Internet-based calls and messages through your existing apps can use the mobile-data connection without that add-on.

Can I keep WhatsApp and my usual phone number?

Normally you can keep the existing account in your messaging app while using a different data connection; avoid unnecessarily re-registering it with another number. Your original carrier number remains a separate line, and carrier calls or SMS on that line may incur roaming charges.

Is unlimited data unlimited at full speed?

No. The checked US and Europe examples have a daily high-speed allowance followed by continued data at a lower maximum rate. Ultra uses a monthly fast-data pool. Check your selected package rather than assuming all unlimited options share the same rule.

Can I share Saily data with my laptop?

You can use your phone’s hotspot where supported. The laptop draws from the same allowance and can quickly consume data through updates or backups. Keep background downloads paused and treat hotspot usage as part of the trip budget.

Does a Global plan cover every Saily destination?

No. The Global package has its own country list. Search each stop in that list even if Saily sells a separate country plan for the same place. A virtual location setting does not expand mobile coverage.

Will the plan activate as soon as I install it?

Installation and activation are separate. Destination-based activation depends on the package, enabled profile, and roaming settings. Read the activation window and remember that a regional plan may begin in an earlier included country on your route.

Do I need a new eSIM profile for every trip?

Saily lets you add supported destination packages to an existing profile. Keep it installed if you plan to reuse it. When changing devices, follow the current transfer or installation instructions rather than assuming a used installation code can be scanned indefinitely.

Does Saily protect my hotel Wi-Fi connection?

Do not assume its eSIM browsing tools extend to a separate Wi-Fi connection. Use a suitable separate security app when needed, confirm which connection is active, and keep device and account protections enabled.

Can several travelers use one plan?

Eligible fixed plans can be shared through the app before activation, subject to the current eligibility rules. Everyone uses the same allowance. A phone hotspot is another option when devices stay nearby, but it depends on the host phone’s connection and battery.

What if I need more data or a refund?

Look for an appropriate additional package or top-up in the app before losing connectivity. For a failed service, contact support with your order and device details. Refund eligibility depends on installation, activation, usage, timing, and the applicable terms; it is not an unconditional money-back trial.

Final verdict: who should buy Saily?

Saily is worth considering for ordinary travel connectivity when the package matches your route and usage. The convenient app workflow, reusable profile, and flexible plan types address real travel frustrations. The added browsing tools are a useful bonus. Its newer phone-number and sharing options expand what it can do, but they have separate costs and rules that deserve attention.

For a typical sightseeing trip, start with a fixed package large enough for essentials and a reserve. For heavier daily media use, compare unlimited while budgeting around its fast-data limit. For frequent travel across regions, compare a long-validity Global package with Ultra’s recurring offer. If you need a destination-local number or demanding long-term tethering, include local carrier options in the comparison.

Buy for your actual trip

Confirm compatibility, every destination, the expiry date, and your expected data use. Then check the live price and install before departure. Those four checks do more for a successful trip than choosing the largest bundle by default.

How this review was updated

Research checked on October 7, 2026. Product information comes from Saily’s current destination selectors, security and phone-number pages, privacy policy, and Help Center articles on Ultra, shared plans, refunds, and verification-code compatibility. Price calculations use the displayed package amounts without coupon assumptions or estimated currency conversion.

The cost chart is calculated from the US table. The unlimited diagram explains published plan rules. The donut, daily usage scenarios, and calculator are editorial planning examples. They are not speed tests, customer survey results, or measured data savings. Coverage and terms can change; confirm the exact package at checkout.
